She is Polish Jackie Chan. An angry mother (with Jackie Chan style fighting tactics) messing with drug cartel's thugs . Her son who has American Dad (American Marine) does not know her mother is still alive. Movie atmosphere is a little Cold War biased , which shows Eastern Europeans are very bad/criminal people . These kind of people want to mess with the son who has American Dad ?!?!?! Noway Hollywood would let this to happen .Stunt work is very good , when you watch movie you can feel the the atmosphere of Eastern Europe ,Nina (The mother ) action movement (Jackie Chan style fighting) are very good almost the same as Angelia Jolly in her Tomb Raider movies. Even the American son defeats Bobby Fischer in chess ?!?!?! And hi is going to follow Bobby's way to defeat Eastern people. I told you a little Cold War biased movie.

Another movie that resembles its rather fair predecessor of JLO The mother . I had heard rather poor critics fore the JLos story of this year though I liked it . Dzien matki is the polish version of HLOs movie as ir was recently released I will not refer anything to the story of DZin Matki and though I agree with someone's onions on imdb I prefer to write my own points . First the story starts relatively good but as the time passes the story gets in slippery slope towards more and more ridiculous. The story starts with 4 people playing at bad with some girls when Mrs Nina an ex warrior of Nato soldiers fights against them using beer boxes and wining at them. The problem is that after 20 minutes you see insane scenes as for example the guy dressed with just a very minimalistic G string kind of , across his body and talking to his father's cut head. Some other crazy scenes are with a lethal guy using electrified things to kill someone in his head and next to that laugh for his good try.. Some of them are using some very bad humor Nina was quite good to stop all these bad guys.. or at least most of them These could be some similarities between Tarantino stories with less finesse . Technically this movie is: no plot except some poor start middle and finish . Nothing related to the characters including Nina. The only you can see is some good action orchestration and quite loosely linked parts. Limited moral as she tries to save her son. Rating : 2/10 quite cringe.

Another John Wick variation, again, but with a Polish twist. Here, a former spy who's practically a beggar finds herself rescuing her son, who's been adopted and doesn't know her. We can't remember why they want to kill him, but we don't care. His mother goes back to work and kills them one by one. As this dramatic framework has already been seen many times, this product can only be apprehended on its variants, even its originalities. These are to be found in the visual impact of the film's photography, sets, costumes and make-up, all influenced by the aesthetics of video games. The film is set in Warsaw, with some pretty wild wildlife and some very graphic and horrific villains. The whole thing takes place at night in abandoned factories and basements, with highly polished photography and choreography featuring playful visual effects. It's both gruesome and fun. With lots of violence and fighting. What's missing is a barely hinted sexual dimension, and some subversion. Here again, everything is technically perfect. Lead actress Agnieszka Grochowska is impressive. The choreography and sets are spectacular: dank, dirty basements, an abandoned factory. All in all, the film contains some fine visual ideas. And the humorous, open-ended ending augurs well for a sequel. So much the better. A potato chip movie, crunchy, crunchy film, to be savored in the moment without regret.

A movie isn't worthy with just few spectacular action sequences or a gutsy performance by its lead character's but literally it has to go plot test to get effective on whole... Agnieszka carries the whole movie on her shoulders that way ahead of its flaws and turns to be a sole survivor.... But yes the camera work are the most effective aspect that keeps it's momentum flow along with the movie while action blocks are the soul of the movie... While the villainous act are cringy and just acts as pop up character.... On whole it's not too emotional as the title suggest but just a pure adrenaline action blocks that keeps u hold until the last act... Overall skip it or see it on ur own risk...

Polish writer & director Mateusz Rakowicz's feminist action thriller "Mother's Day" sets a whole new set of standards for the conventional tale about a mom protecting her cub. In this instance, for example, an ex-Special Ops agent, Nina (Agnieszka Grochowska), is summoned to save her clueless, 17-year-old son Max son (Adrian Delikta) from a psychotic army of degenerate dastards. Now, let's clear the air, either Netflix or at least one critic are comparing "Mother's Day" as quote "the dirty Polish equivalent of the recent Netflix-sensation "The Mother" that stars Latino vocalist Jennifer Lopez. The Lopez outing amounts to little more than a second-rate sizzler that rarely generates more than an occasional spark. Niki Caro's "The Mother" exemplifies a typical celebrity-driven, Hollywood actioneer teeming with anachronisms galore. Lopez is nowhere near as convincing in the physical combat brawls as Agnieszka Grochowska. The primary difference between the two films is largely cosmetic. Lopez still looks like she stepped out of a beauty spa, while ravaged Grochowska displays the slings and arrows of her own "outrageous fortune." Battered and bruised from constant bouts with an enemy that keeps on coming and never seems to back, multiplying itself like the mythical Hydra with whom Hercules clashed, Nina never backs down, never gets ground, and displays the kind of tenacious resilience that Jennifer Garner rarely mustered in director Pierre Morel's revenge-themed crime thriller "Peppermint." Suffice to say, Rakowicz takes everything to the limit and then some beyond with his exhilarating kinetic action scenes and Nina emerges as a variation on Keanu Reeves' indestructible John Wick. The action choreography is a blast to watch. Rakowicz and co-scribe Lukasz M. Maciejewski add some compelling complications. Basically, Nina is such a terror herself that she has to live in the shadows since she is still being stalked by her enemies, and Max lives with a surrogate set of parents. The bittersweet ending is terrific!

Nina Nowak is a former special operations agent who has crossed the wrong people. They can't get to her directly so they kidnap her son. He was adopted and has no idea that she is his mother but that won't stop her doing whatever it takes to get him back. This includes taking on assorted gangsters, agents of a corrupt foreign power and some people she thought she could trust. This may not be a great film; the plot is hardly original and the action isn't exactly realistic but if you can put your brain in neutral for ninety minutes it is quite fun. There aren't too many let ups in the action and the fights and shoot outs do have a sense of danger. Unlike many action films our lead won't survive each encounter without getting hurt. The action is exciting and fairly bone-crunching even if there is an excess of slow-motion at times. The bad guys are all suitably unpleasant and equally expendable while our heroine is enjoyably tough yet vulnerable. The acting is solid enough; the villains ham it up ridiculously at times but that is part of the fun. Agnieszka Grochowska impresses as Nina. The locations used are mostly stereotypical dingy disused industrial buildings or night time in less salubrious areas of Warsaw. Overall I'd say this is hardly a must see but it is fun if you are a fan of the genre. These comments are based on watching the film in Polish with English subtitles.

Lame. Straight up hand to hand/shoot you/slice or stab you/blow you up action movie. No interesting storyline. Action from start to finish. Best part was how she had this unique ability to disrupt adversaries by throwing solid objects at their head/face before finishing them off. It was actually amusing. But, again, storyline was pretty predictable and lacking. This is the kind of movie you watch if you want to down a few beers with friends and watch Jason Moore like action and critique or analyze aspects of the action sequences.. Interestingly, I thought she resembled Demi Moore and during a couple moments Linda Hamilton (i.e., The Terminator) .
